Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data the ATS-12 verification service ("we", "us") collects and how it is used. Last updated: June 3, 2026.
How verification works
Verification begins in the ATS-12 Discord server, where you start the flow with the /verify command or the verification button. You are then sent to Roblox to authorize the connection. After you approve, Roblox returns your basic profile to us, we create the link between your Discord and Roblox accounts, and you are shown a confirmation page. We need this data to confirm which Roblox account belongs to which Discord member so we can verify you within the community.
Completing verification may assign roles or display your linked Roblox status within the ATS-12 Discord server you verified in, which can be visible to other members of that server.
What we collect
When you verify, you authorize us via Roblox OAuth (scopes openid profile). We receive and store:
- Your Roblox user ID, username, and display name.
- Your Discord user ID and the Discord server (guild) ID from which you started verification, supplied by the ATS-12 Discord bot.
- Previously observed Roblox usernames and display names associated with your verified account. We do not pull Roblox's historical username records; we only retain the names we have observed during verification, to assist with moderation, account recovery, abuse prevention, and audit logs relating to verification actions.
We do not collect your Roblox password, email, payment information, or any data beyond the profile fields listed above.
How we use it
This data is used solely to link your Discord and Roblox identities for verification, role assignment, and moderation within the ATS-12 community. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties, other than Roblox and Discord as needed to operate the service.
How we protect your data
We do not track you across other platforms or services, and we do not use your data to build or enrich behavioral profiles about you outside of Roblox. We do not sell, rent, lease, or syndicate your data, or send it to advertising networks, vendors, or partners for their own purposes. We do not provide tools that let one user look up another user's individual data, and we do not surface live player activity or presence in any way that bypasses your Roblox privacy settings.
OAuth tokens
The access token issued by Roblox during verification is held only in server memory for the duration of a single request, used once to read your basic profile, and then discarded. It is never written to our database, cached, or recorded in our logs.
Data retention
Verification records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, support moderation actions, and maintain audit records.
Legal basis for processing
We process verification data to provide the verification service requested by the user and to support the legitimate moderation and security interests of the ATS-12 community.
Unlinking & revoking access
To unlink your account, request removal of your verification via our contact form, or ask an ATS-12 administrator to remove the link. You may also revoke ATS-12's access to your Roblox account at any time through Roblox's Authorized Applications settings.
Your rights & contact
You may request erasure of your personal data, or ask any privacy question, at any time via our contact form. We will process valid erasure requests within 30 days.
